3.11 Activities and Achievements during the Great East Japan Earthquake
3.11 Introduction of our company's activities during the Great East Japan Earthquake and future challenges.
Our company conducted support activities for the reconstruction of Iwate Prefecture for about three months starting from March 23, at the request of the Cabinet Office immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake. We provided assistance in the delivery of kerosene, light oil, and heavy oil to coastal municipalities in Iwate Prefecture, as well as fuel delivery support for large corporations, including kerosene, light oil, heavy oil, and gasoline, along with other reconstruction support activities. We received a letter of appreciation for our support, and the local community expressed their deep gratitude. **[Realization of the Necessity for BCP Measures]** - Oil has been reaffirmed as the most important energy source for future recovery and reconstruction. - It is necessary to maintain tank trucks and drums for the delivery of petroleum products during normal times to be used as fuel for emergency generators. - Considering emergencies, it is essential to store small amounts of petroleum fuel from normal times. - Large-scale oil tanks are often located in coastal areas, which have high disaster risks, making inland storage safer. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.*
